Victoria Beckham Against Britney

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

Victoria Beckham has renewed her tension like attitude toward Britney Spears.

A ‘spice girl’ already has a history of “star-war” with Britney when the ‘Toxic’ singer didn’t want to sit next to her at famous Los Angeles’ hotel Chateau Marmont last year – has now attacked Spears for not making any real work behind her perfume line.

“This is a real passion of mine. People think all I do is go shopping like a miserable cow, but, in actual fact, I work bloody hard.”

Not so long ago Victoria has revealed, “I’m a complete control freak and I want everything to be perfect. I’m not doing a Britney Spears and just putting my name on something and saying, ‘Sell this perfume’”.

Tubular Bells Are Back

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

The Times newspaper reported that Mike Oldfield took back his rights to his brilliant trademark work, Tubular Bells:

“This will be a landmark year for the musician and composer, now 54. In personal terms, it has brought an addition to his family in their new hillside home high above the Balearic island’s capital. And career-wise it will bring not only the release of his frist fully classical album, Music of the Spheres, but the return to his control of his first and most famous recording, 1973’s Tubular Bells. “I can still remember being in the kitchen of the Manor at Shipton-on-Cherwell (then owned by the fledgling entrepreneur Richard Branson), about to sign this two page contract,” he says.  “Some pointed out that it was for 35 years, but I couldn’t get my head around the fact.  I was just 19 and couldn’t conceive of 2008 ever arriving. Now, of course, it’s here.”

Some Sort Of Fire Around Eminem

Monday, March 10th, 2008

Eminem’s record labels are being sued by the producers that first discovered him for a series of back royalty payments.

The lawsuit claims Aftermath, Interscope and others owe F.B.T. Productions and Em2M LLC. in excess of $1 million because Em’s current record label miscalculated the royalties due them.  The lawsuit goes on to suggest that the record company accepted guilt last year, but until this year did not make any payments.

F.B.T. and another company involved in the deal, Em2M, are suing for back royalties, damages and fees.

Friday, March 7th, 2008

Their debut album, ‘The Colourful Life’, will be released on April 28, 2008 on XL Recordings having been produced by Bernard Butler.

Cajun Dance Party are writing and recording the following album which is planned to be released on October 2008. The band is planning several festival appearances.

Talking to XFM singer Daniel Blumberg said: “We’re very proud of our devut album It’s taken a long time but now it’s done, we just want people to hear these songs as soon as possible.”

“We will only ever release music we’re fiercely proud of but we do not want it to grow stagnant to ourselves. We understand a band has to do certain things to get music to as many as people as possible, but right now we’re finishing school and are well underway with the second record.”

“The recording sessions went really well and we’ve got a whole batch of new songs which we want to start playing and recording too – the thought of waiting till we’ve finished school to get this debut out would have stalled the creative process. That’s the last thing we want to do.”

Here is the tracklisting for ‘The Colorful Life’”

1. Colourful Life 2. The Race 3. Time Falls 4. The Next Untouchable 5. No Joanna 6. Amylase 7. The Firework 8. Buttercups 9. The Hill, the View & The Lights

Lily Allen Is Thinking Sober

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

Lily Allen said that she is  changing her ways toward the bizzare lifestyle following her miscarriage.

The 22–year-old singer–who tragically lost her baby in January and split from the father, Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons, shortly after-revealded her recent heartache has changed her opinion on partying.

She said: “When I was pregnant I stopped drinking and I didn’t start again.  Then when the baby was gone, I thought, ‘That doesn’t mean I’m going to go back to how I was.’”

The ‘Smile’ star-who admitted to taking ecstasy when she was just 14–years-old-has decided the best way to avoid temptation is to spend her evenings at home.

She added to Britain’s Glamour magazine: “I’ve been sad and quite lonely recently because if you’re young, living in London and working in this industry, unless you dring and take a lot of drugs, there’s not much to do.

“I’ve been siting on my own watching TV. It’s boring to go out if everyone else is taking cocaine and shouting at me.”

Lily and Ed-who started dating last September-revealed they were expecting their first child together last December, but the relationship unfortunately fell apart under the pressure of their loss.

The pair sparked rumours they had rekindled their romance a few weeks ago, after Lily spent the night at Ed’s London home.
