Bono Is About To Write!

In 2009 the leader of U2 Bono is planning to work as a columnist for The New York Times, said Rolling Stone. As the editor in chief Andrew Rosenthal says a musician shall write up to six/ten pieces of material on various topics including everything from poverty in Africa to Frank Sinatra. Rosenthal also noted that Bono has agreed to work for them for free. Isn’t it amazing? However, Bono is doing great and his charity activities are just awesome. It seems that Bono is about to write all these articles at the peak of his touring activity which is dedicated to the release of his band’s 12th studio album. A name and the release date is not known so far. In addition to this, The New York Times is not going to stop there, and shall invite Queen’s guitar player Brian May as well. Brian May will be a perfect choice too – that guy is a scientist after all.
Just for the reminder, Bono is not trying himself in journalism for the first time. Back in 2006 the leader of U2 had edited The Independent newspaper issues once in a while, and in 2007 – Vanity Fair. In September this year he wrote for The Financial Times about the latest UN summit.
