Fathers And Sons

Legendary Pete Townshend, the leader of The Who began to work with the musical called “Floss”, which is dedicated to the problem of aging, said Billboard. As a sixty four year old musician said, way back when he was only 19, he wrote songs like “My Generation” where he disdained old, but now with the help of rock n’ roll he wants to talk about aging and the unevitable death. “Floss” scenario is going to be based on a couple, Walter and Floss. Following Townshend’s idea, ex-rocker Walter had decided to get back to music after hearing one of his old songs on the radio commercial, which suddenly turned into a hit, but eventually fails his plan. Things are changing when time moves on, rebels of the youth may change their mind, think back and see something new. Surely, Townshend himself is going through all sorts of problems and life struggles that deal with the aging process. “Floss” premiere is planned for 2011 and should take place in New York. However, the best songs from it will appear earlier on The Who’s upcoming album, which is about to be released in 2010. “Floss” is not the first musical in Pete Townshend’s career; in 1969 the band had released the rock opera “Tommy”, in 1973 “Quadrophenia”. Also, in 2007 Townshend had released the musical of his own “The Boy Who Heard Music”.
