Frontman of the American band Maroon 5 Adam Levine began to sue the company Activision for using his image in the computer game Band Hero, wrote Gamasutra. A singer came to the conclusion that this firm had violated an agreement after allowing it’s users to handle his personality for performing songs of other bands and musicians; the whole thing was taken to the court in Los Angeles. It was noted, Levine was actually involved in the creation of the above mentioned game, but his agreement included merely one Maroon’s song called “She Will Be Loved”. According to his claim, which was discussed by the Warp, particular anger on the side of musician was caused by the fact that his avatar in the game is capable of singing with a female voice. Also, Levine had underlined that he received way less money than was signed in the contract, others who worked on the development acquired way more. Notably, it’s not the first court hearing related to Band Hero, in 2009 the same reasons caused musicians from No Doubt to get offended, and practically win the case. The Band Hero project was released in 2009 and is literally related to a series of Guitar Hero games, the meaning of the latter game, which is broadening players’ vocal possibilities turned to be extremely popular among people all around the world. A punk rock band Maroon 5 was founded in Los Angeles in 1995, and it’s original title was Kara’s Flower. To this days the band had released three studio albums and among them the latest one came out in 2010; totally all their releases sold nearly fifteen million copies worldwide.
